Im looking to convert my 2014 VM boat trailer with surge disc brakes to EOH. It looks like the kit Item # HS481-8067 fits the bill and is compatible with my 2023 ram 3500. if that is the correct choice then how do I go about replacing the surge tounge or coupler? drill and pin it or replace it all together? thanks for the help

Yes, the Hydrastar Vented Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # HS481-8067 would be the correct kit to use on your boat trailer with surge disc brakes. Depending on what type of channel and coupler you have will decide on the best coupler. Most boat trailers will use a 3" wide coupler so you might find either the 2" Ball # DM15000-52 or 2-5/16" Ball # DM13203-52 to be your best option. If you can measure your trailer tongue and send me an image of your current coupler I can give you other options.
