Fit of Firestone Air Bags # F2250 With Reese # RP56007-53 5th Wheel Brackets on 2003 Silverado
Updated 02/19/2014 | Published 02/17/2014 >
Question:
With the RP56007-53 mounting to the frame on the outside vs a more standard 5th wheel mounting, will the F2250 still fit? Thanks!

I examined the installation instructions for the Reese # RP56007-53 fifth wheel install kit and the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Spring Kit, comparing where the mount in regard to the frame members of your 2003 Silverado. Since the springs mount to the underside of the frame memeber (see diagram), they will NOT interfere with the fifth wheel frame brackets. I confirmed this with my Firestone representative.
I have linked you to instructions for the air springs and the fifth wheel brackets, as well as to an install video for the air spring kit.
