Question:

I need a 18 reciever tube that will go into my OEM GMC 3 reciever hitch so I can put in a 2 weight distribution hitch trailer hitch

I have a hitch extension that will work with a weight distribution system but it is 24" long and there aren't any shorter ones. First you are going to have to use the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve item # C85JR to get your 3" receiver down to a 2-1/2"one. Then you will want the Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer item # C45048. It comes in a 34" extension but you can trim it down to 24".

This combination will give you a 8,000 lbs towing capacity when used with a weight distribution system. If you keep the length at 34" you will only have a 6,000 lbs towing capacity.

You will also need the 24" Wiring Harness Extension for Hitch Extenders item # TLW6024. This will extend your truck's 7-way connector the length of the extension when you trim it down. You will want item # TLW6036 if you keep the 34" length.
