Can The Malone Axis Extender Be Used To Help Support A Kayak On A Roof Rack Of A Jeep Gladiator

Question:

HI, looking at this hitch for a kayak on my gladiator, does this product need an extension to get it vertical to roof height or is that included? Having a hard time figuring this out from the listing since one picture shows the kayak on the roof while others are showing the kayak vertical out the back of the bed. I have a roof rack already for the front cab of the jeep and just need some support out the back for the tail end. Thanks

The Malone Axis Truck Bed and Roof Load Extender with Load Roller # MAL32VR has multiple height settings to allow it to be both a bed extender or roof rack extension. If you tilt the extender up at the connection point closest to the trailer hitch on your Gladiator then it will sit closer to roof rack height. There's also multiple different heights settings for the other end as well if you remove the pin and clip and slide it up to the desired height, allowing it to match up with your roof rack height so the kayak is firmly secure.
