Question:
I just bought a 2016 ford f 150. It came with a 4 pin plug. I pull many trailers and need to convert to 7 pin and have trailer braking and reverse lights. what items will i need to purchase to get this done. Also, are there any videos that might be helpful gettting this done?

Since you have a factory 4-Way on your 2016 Ford F-150 we can get you completely setup with plug-and-play parts. To upgrade your connection to a 7-way you need the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118283. This is going to plug into the factory connection at the rear of your truck. I also recommend the mounting bracket # PK12711U and no-drill bracket # C57202 to hold the connector in place.
The only other thing you will need is a brake controller. I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR. The Liberty gives you accurate and reliable braking while taking up minimal space in your cab. The main unit installs out of sight so only the control knob is visible. This also gives it a sleek factory appearance. The knob controls the braking power and acts as the manual override. As I said, this is a total plug-and-play setup so the brake controller can be installed using the factory port and the # 331-TPH-007.
I have attached an installation video for the wiring harness on a 2016 F-150 below, along with an installation video for the brake controller on an F-250 for your reference.
