Question:

I have an McClain ATT-2452 trailer and am looking to replace the fenders on it. I want to get fenders that are more heavy duty since we step on them a lot for getting in and out of the boat, which caused the fender on one side to break. One of the other trailers we have is an Ez Loader trailer and we really like those fenders. Can Ez loader fenders be put on a McClain trailer or would I have to get fenders from McClain to replace our broken one? Also are there any other fenders that you would recommend?

If you're looking for a heavy duty fender you'll want to go with steel. I looked up some photos of a McClain ATT-2452 online and the Tandem Axle Teardrop Trailer Fenders part # HP94VR for 14" - 15" wheels or part # HP64VR for 15" - 16" wheels looks to be correct. In order to make them stronger, you'll need to find a way to reinforce the existing support or add more but once done so you should be able to use them as steps.

Unfortunately, I couldn't comment on the EZ-Loader fenders as these are not something we carry.
