Do RV Sewer Pipes Have to be Cut Completely Off When Removed and Reinstalled

Question:

Once I cut the abs pipe and the 3inch spigot is still attached to the tank1.how do I get that out? 2. Once out of the tank,do I need to clean old abs adhesive from around rim of tank in order to install new spigot connector?

What's interesting about the ABS fittings of RV sewer pipes is that they have to be completely cut off and can't be cleaned or removed. It has to be completely cut off and everything has to be new.
