3 inch to 1-1/2 inch Reducer for RV Sewer Piping

Question:

I need to replace a 3inch x 1-1/2inch Eccentric Tank Reducer on my travel trailer. the elbow is directly connected to it and i cannot cut it there and the long pipe going to the shut off valve broke clean at the other end of the elbow. the tank reducer has some black rubbery compound around it and i am trying to figure out how i can remove the tank reducer from the tank in ordder to install the new one. do you have any suggestions?

The adapter you need is the Valterra part # T1041-1 that you referenced as it fits your configuration needs. The 3 inch portion fits into the tank and then the 1-1/2 inch portion fits over the elbow fitting like you need.

Rubber cement is basically not designed to be broken up though.
