Is It Safe To Use An Indoor Propane Heater With The Tank Also Inside Of The Trailer

Question:

I run a 2023 rockwood 2511s. Can I safely use a 1-lb propane cyllinder with my Camco Olympian Wave 8? I know the larger 10 and 20 lb tanks have vents but since the small 1-lb cylinders dont, does it make it okay to use indoors? I have a new 12 ft. hose with regulator. TX.

As with any propane heater it's always recommend to have the propane tank outside of the trailer out of an abundance of caution. The Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety Heater for Small RVs # CAM57331 can be used inside of your 2023 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2511s, but you'll want to run the tank outside of the trailer with your 12foot hose.

I also recommend making sure that you have a carbon monoxide detector and that it's in working order to alert you in the event that the heater is allowing propane to flow without ignition.
