Can Charger of Bright Way Push to Test Breakaway Kit Overcharge Battery
Published 02/16/2023 >
Question:
It looks like the CHARGING led on the breakaway batter charging unit is always lit when connected to the external 12v power. Is there any chance of overcharging the battery or is the battery charger smartfoot enough to go into a trickle charge mode?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Brightway Push to Test Breakaway kit part # 3802311 that you referenced has such a low charge rate at 2 amps that it essentially is always in a trickle charge mode and would not overcharge or damage the battery.
