Can Trailer Tire Size 5.30-12 be Replaced with 145/80-12

Question:

I currently have ST530-12 on my trailer and they wear alot, can I change these to a 145/80-12 Radial for improved wear

The tire size of 145/80-12 fits on the same wheel size as the 5.30-12 so yes you could go to the 145 size. It's actually a tiny bit shorter in diameter too so there would be no need to check for clearance either. For a radial in the size you want we have the part # AM10130 which has a Load Range of D and has a higher speed rating of 81 mph.

Normally tire wear is due to alignment issues or the trailer being overloaded so you might check that on your current setup as well.
