Hello I am looking for a 4 pin trailer wiring harness for my 2006 Honda Element LX. Is the only option for my vehicle a kit that has to be hard wired to the tail lights? If so what kit do you recommend that has a fuse? I only ask because I saw 2003-2004 models have a plug and plug kit, and 2008+ have a plug and play kit. Are there no plug and play kits for a 2006? Thank you!

I checked with the manufacturers for you, and there is not a plug and play 4-way for your 2006 Honda Element, so I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236.
Why there is one for other model years but not your '06 I can't be sure, but the # C59236 is a fused connection to your battery like you were wanting, and has the highest amp ratings for the best protection against possible shorts.
And just in the interest of being thorough, if you also need a hitch for your '06 Element, the best option is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e78KR.
