Question:

Will the use of this ball change the tongue weight on truck? I have a 2022 silverado 2500 and the gooseneck is mounted a few inches behind axle. If I were to reverse the extender towards cab would it put more weight back on the truck and improve handling?

Nope, the pin weight rating on your truck will not be affected by the use of the 4" Offset Ball for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches # BWGNXA4085.

The offset ball does have different capacities than the Turnoverball hitch though, as it's rated for 20,000 lbs towing and 5,000 lbs pin weight compared to the 30,000 lbs towing/7,500 lb pin weight of the Turnoverball. And no, reversing it in the opposite direction will not improve handling. I've also actually spoken to B&W in the past about reversing the ball and they said that is definitely something that should not be done.
