Question:
I need to replace a turning point pin box with a gooseneck one.

There is only one option to replace a Lippert, which is now Curt, Turning Point. You will want the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # GY48GR.
As far as make and model goes. 5th wheel trailer pin boxes are not model specific. The manufacturer's can install different pin boxes with different patterns for the same make and model years. This can be due to parts availability or customer specifications. With the exception of the Turning Point, the only way to confirm what pin box a 5th wheel has is to contact Lippert with the serial number or RPO number.
You will also need the Safety Chain with 2 Hooks for Gen-Y 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY49GR. The Gen-Y gooseneck adapter does not include the required safety chains.

Is there any update for a replacement pin box for the Curt Turning Point? I have a shorbed truck so a conversion to gooseneck really limited my turning clearance. I’m in search of a shock absorbing solution for my 5th wheel camper equipped with the CTP pin box.
