Spacing Required Between the Spring Plate and Trailer Bottom for the SumoSprings Trailer Springs

Question:

I have a 2017 Grand Design 321RL Solitude. You recommend #SS26MV. What’s the minimum distance from the top of the spring plate to the bottom of the frame in inches for this spring to fit properly? I have about 5” of space from bottom to top.

The SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs item # SS26MV require 5-5/16" - 6-1/2" of clearance. This is from the top of the spring plate to the bottom of your trailer.

Since you are right at 5" you should be ok once you jack your trailer up and get the weight off of the springs. They are designed to be constantly engaged when you are using your trailer.
