Recommended Portable Supplemental Braking System Other than a Blue Ox Patriot

Question:
Hey, thanks for the parts list and links to documentation. Are there any alternatives to consider for the brake kit? I like that this is removable and therefore can probably be used on subsequent flat-tow vehicles, but the price is a bit painful. Thoughts and Pros/Cons would be appreciated. Thank you,

Happy to help! Our least expensive supplemental braking system is going to be the Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System item # HM39494. This is also a portable system that works with your 2009 GMC Sierra and is compatible with both the adjustable and nonadjustable pedals.
The Blue Ox Patriot item # BLU37TR is a popular braking system and by far the easiest to set up but the Brake Buddy Classic 3 item # HM39494 is a more cost-effective option that will provide you with the braking you need for your Sierra. Brake Buddy has been in the flat tow braking business for a long time and this is their base system that provides you with the bare minimum when it comes to features but it is extremely reliable and gets the job done.
