Can you place anything in the vertical channel on the side walls on a Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trail I would like to use them for tie downs, or maybe stakes.

The vertical supports for the side walls on the Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer # K2MMT4X6 are only a round tubing which is tack welded into place. This is designed to support the round top rail and side wall steel on the walls of the trailer. For attaching straps I recommend using D-Ring Tie-Down Anchors # 3486553 along the lower steel frame of the trailer. These will give you a solid anchor point and will not risk breaking the tack welds on the side wall components.
