I checked with Stromberg Carlson and they only confirm the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate part # VG-100 back to 1987. This could be due to lack of testing or incompatibility. There was a generation change between 1986 and 18987. The dimensions of the tailgate are 66" long × 26" wide so you cab use these to confirm fit yourself but there may also be other modifications needed bear in mind.
