Question:
I see you have access to both screws attaching the handle to the door. What keeps a thief from removing both screws and turning the entire handle to unlock the rear ramp door on my 2020 Car Mate trailer?

Although one of the mounting holes on the Bauer Products Compression Latch # BA67FR is exposed, the other is covered by the handle when you secure the latch. To prevent someone from accessing the other mounting hole through the handle I would suggest adding the # BA99VR to cover the hole as well as the lock cylinder.
If you're worried they will remove the cover and still get to the mounting hardware you could seal the hole with something like # LT37467. For added security, I also recommend using mounting hardware with a unique head so common tools can't be used for removal.
