Replacement Compression Latch for 2" Thick Ramp Doors

Updated 12/26/2025 | Published 12/21/2025

Question:

I need to replace both my compression locks on my trailer ramp door. Just unsure if I need 2” or 4” I have attached the measurements for the ones I bought last time. Thanks!

Hey Tim, thanks for the measurements. You'll need the Compression Latch for 2" Thick Ramp Doors item # BA67FR. This fits ramp doors that are up to 2" thick like the the Lippert compression latch you referenced. The item # BA87FR you were looking at fits a 4" thick ramp door but the only difference is the longer threaded pin.

The Compression Latch for 2" Thick Ramp Doors item # BA67FR can be keyed alike if you select that option above where it says Add to Cart on the product page. You will need to purchase the latches at the same time to get them keyed alike.

How thick is your ramp door?

Latch was a direct replacement and easy install. No issues on my toy hauler ramp door for over 2 years

I measured the ramp door and it's over 3” so I think the 4” is what I will order
