Recommended Axle Setup For a 5 X 8 Off-Road Trailer With Jeep Wheels

Im looking to build a 5x8 offroad camper with brakes. Im thinking it will weigh between 1500 and 1800. I want to use the jeep wheels I already have. The tires have a 7inch offset. Any recommendations for axles and hubs?

I recommend using the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # ASR1THDS03. This system has a upgraded spindle designed for additional strength. It includes a 4" lift spindle for additional ground clearance and will place your hub face for your Jeep wheels 8-1/2" from the frame and the axle centerline 9-5/8" below the bottom of the frame. If this is not far away enough for your Jeep wheels and tires you will need to then use some wheel spacers to push the wheels out further.
The Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA and 2 of the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assemblies # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K will complete the axle for a 5 on 5" wheel bolt pattern. This is the common Jeep wheel size.
For the electrical I recommend combining the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit # HS381-9000 with the Bright Way Push-to-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit # 3802308 and 20 Ft 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness # A20WB. You will also need some 12 Gauge Wire # 12-1-1 to run from the junction box to the brakes.
