This is more than likely a circuit board issue, and to alleviate the issue you'll just need to replace your unit's circuit board.
If you have the MaxxFan Plus models: 00-04500K, 00-04700K, 00-04800K, and 00-04900K, or the MaxxFan Deluxe, models: 00-0700K, 00-07500K, 00-08500K, 00-08700K, and 00-08900K, then the correct replacement circuit board is the Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir Powered Lift RV Roof Vents w/ Reversible Fan # MA10A21275K.
If you have the MaxFan models MA00-04000K, MA00-05100K, and MA00-06200K, then you can use the Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir Manual Lift RV Roof Vents # MA10A21276K.
