Replacement 25-1/4 Leaf Springs for a Ranger RT188 Boat Trailer

Question:

I need new leaf springs for a Ranger RT188 boat trailer. They measure 25 1/2-“ eye to eye. I’m thinking new they were 25 1/4”. The shackles measure 3” hole to hole. The tire clearance has never been very good since it was new. I’m wondering if longer shackles would help that. GAWR 2950

To replace your 25-1/4" leaf springs on your Ranger RT188 boat trailer I recommend the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring item # e93SR. These have a 4,000 lbs capacity and three leafs. They will work great on your trailer.

There are a few ways to gain additional clearance between your tire and fender, but going with longer shackle straps won't accomplish what you're looking for. I recommend moving your fender up if possible but you really don't have much room to work with.
