Question:
I don’t know what product to buy. I need a longer ball hitch to tow my 2,300 lbs travel trailer. My 2020 Jeep Ultimate has a spare tire on the back, so I can’t hitch up my travel trailer. I know it’s a 2” ball I need for the coupler. Not sure what length to get. I don’t really need a drop or to raise the height. I don’t have a torque wrench. Can I get the ball already attached to the longer ball mount? Thanks

I have a few options for you on your 2020 Jeep Wrangler. A typical ball mount like the Curt # C45036 will have a hitch pin to ball center length of 7-1/2". We do have the Curt Solid 2-Ball Mount # C45002 which is longer with a 8-1/2" length from hitch pin center to ball center. To get longer without having to install a hitch ball you will need to move to a hitch like the B&W # BWTS10035B which is 10-3/8" from hitch pin to ball center.
If you experience a lot of sag with your travel trailer or feel it swaying you will want to go with a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Hitch # EQ37061ET. You will pair this with their Extended Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4500 to get the length you need from your Wrangler. With this you will need a Torque Wrench # PT79FR and 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the included 2" hitch ball. Otherwise you can have the entire system installed and set up at a service center near you.
