Question:

I need to replace the slide out gearbox motor for my Coachman Capri. The number on the old motor is 522802. I understand this is obsolete and the replacement motor is 523900 but the 523900 is longer and does not fit in the space allowed in the camper. I need to know the length of the A-300 from the mounting face to the end of the brake on the motor. It has to be less than 8 inches to fit.

I've drawn up a dimensional diagram of the Replacement Motor Assembly for Lippert RV Slide-Outs - Klauber A-300 Model # LC157511 below.

I do want to note that just because a motor fits does not mean it will actually work properly to open and close your slide out.

I spoke with Lippert to doublecheck the replacement of your 522802 slide out motor and was able to determine the correct replacement motor is actually the Replacement Gear Motor Assembly for Lippert Component Power Gear Slide Outs # LC383755.
