Curt Trailer Hitch Winch Mount C31004 has a Capacity of 9,000 Pounds Straight Pull

Question:
Can this trailer hitch mount support an 8000 lb. winch? Can a winch of this type be wired to receive power from the same electrical socket that powers the lights for a trailer? Do you sell 8000 lb. Warn winches?

This Curt Trailer Hitch Winch Mount, part # C31010 has a capacity of 9,000 pounds straight pull. You will need to find the weight capacity of the hitch as well, and compare the capacities, using the lowest limiting factor. We do not sell Warn winches, so I am not completely sure if this mount is compatible with a Warn winch. However, the first set of mounting holes are 10 by 4-1/2 inches, and the second set of mounting holes measure 6-1/2 by 4-1/2 inches center to center. In general, you will need to run power to the winches directly from a battery source, using the trailer connector will not provide the amperage needed for the winch motor.
