Question:
If I purchase the above axle will I be able to use adjustable leaf spring mounting brackets to make up the difference between 74-inches spacing and 72 inches spacing center of the leaf spring? Thanks.

In order to change the spring center on the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs # e65GR you will need to cut off the existing spring seats. Once they have been removed, you will need to have # TRSS238 welded on to match your 72" measurement. If you have some kind of adjustable bracket I do not recommend using it. There should be no way for the leaf springs to move horizontally along the axle aside from moving the spring seat.
