Weight Limit Of Aries Round Nerf Bars - 3" Diameter On A 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Club Cab

Question:
I was wondering if there was any type of running board that would fit a 1997 dodge 2500 2 door pick up. I would like it to be frame mounted and have a 500 lb weight rating. If you could give me some suggestions, Id appreciate it. Thank you,

I spoke to a representative from Aries Automotive. They derive the maximum weight capacity from the vehicle. It is based on your vehicle and how much weight your rocker panels can handle. The Aries Round Nerf Bars - 3" Diameter - Polished Stainless Steel, part # AA205002-2, are a bolt on running board made from corrosion resistant steel. It is a custom fit for your vehicle, but its weight limit is only 350 lbs. The representative said you will probably have to get something done custom, if you needed to have a running board with a weight rating of 500 lbs.
Unfortunately, the Westin Automotive representative said the same thing about the maximum weight ratings of their running boards.
