Does the unit automatically shut off at 150 psi? Or do you need to run thru a pressure switch?

Expert Reply:
The Firestone Xtreme-Duty Air Compressor # F9287 does not automatically shut off, so instead you'll have to install a pressure switch.
I recommend going with the Firestone Pressure Switch, 1/8 NPT # F9193 to ensure your springs are operating at the correct pressure.
Using this switch will turn the compressor on at 100 PSI and will shut off after 150 PSI is reached.
