Question:
I need a trailer jack that can crank down less than 12. The height of my hitch is 12. Wth the Jack cranked down all the way I dont have enough clearance to move the jack into the fold-up position. Help. Can you recommend a model that would work for me?

Rack and gear jacks like # BD169201 can get low with a bracket height when retracted of only 8 inches. But rack and gear jacks are low capacity, 750 pounds, and do not swivel. Another low option is Fulton fixed jack # TJ12220301 which can actually get lower than even a rack and gear jack. This jack measures a mere 9 inches from the center of the mounting bracket to the bottom of the wheel. But it does not swivel.
The lowest I can get on a swivel jack with a wheel is 12-3/4 inches like on Fulton jack # FXP10. Without a wheel I can get lower with a swivel jack. Jack # DL22685 for example has a retracted height of 11-1/2 inches. If you need a wheel, though, 12-3/4 inches is the best option.
