Question:
Installed the unit in a 34 ft enclosed trailer. I am going to run it from a generator. I plan on just removing the female plug end of a extension cord and wire it to the ac unit. Then plug it into the generator. Can I use just the regular outlet on a generator or do I need yo use the larger 30 amp plug which is larger plug?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner part # ACM150 will require a 30 amp circuit at a minimum. If you wanted to hook this up directly to a generator you could do so with something like the Mighty Cord Replacement Hardwire RV Power Cord part # A10-3025END and Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Generator Adapter part # A10-G30330VP.
