Due to the age of your Fulton T1401 winch we don't have a repair kit available for it. It has been discontinued so as a replacement I recommend the Fulton Single Speed Trailer Winch - 8" Long Handle - 1,500 lbs # F142201. The slightly smaller option is the Fulton Single Speed Winch - 8" Long Handle - 1,300 lbs # F142104. If you need a larger capacity, you can use the Fulton High-Performance Brake Winch - Cable Only - 2,500 lbs # F143201.
