trailer connector cut off in rear end collision,now I have no power in the wires that would connect a new outlet?

Expert Reply:
To replace the trailer connector and wiring on your 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic you can use connector # HM40975 and wiring harness # PK11998. The wires on the harness will probably not match color for color on the vehicle so you will need to test the wires using a circuit tester, # PTW2993.
Then you determine the wire functions on the vehicle side you can make the connections with the wiring harness as follows:
Red - Left Turn and Stop
White - Ground
Blue - Electric Brakes
Green - Right Turn and Stop
Black - Battery
Brown - Running Lamps
Yellow - Backup Lamps
