My Truck is a 2012 F350 with the factory puck system . Can this be used safely with the ball ?

You can use the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter - 12" to 16" Tall - 20,000 lbs # CAB-C5G with your 2012 Ford F-350 but you will probably need a different gooseneck ball. This is not recommended for use with factory-installed towing prep packages which use a hitch ball with an integrated locking lever like. The reason for this is because the lever on the top will get damaged by the adapter.
In order to be able to use the adapter without an issue you can use the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ford, GM, and Nissan Titan XD Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNXA2061. Since this ball uses the handle to lock and does not have the mechanism on the ball it is safe to use with the # CAB-C5G.
