Will Rola Replacement Roof Mount Bracket Assembly # 59506 Fit a Yakima Mega Warrior Cargo Basket

Question:

Does this bracket fit as a replacement for the Yakima Mega warrior? I am looking for a slightly lower mounting and also to add extra brackets since I have the Megawarrior extension and have added extra crossbars to my rack. Thank you for any info you can give me

According to my contact at Rola their replacement roof mount bracket # 59506 can accommodate up to a 6 inch wide and 1-3/4 tall roof rack bar. Total length where the roof rack sits is 3-3/4 inches, and the total length of the u-bolt is 7-1/4 inches, the maximum height that it can accommodate is 1-3/4 inches. I have included a diagram of these specific dimensions for your reference.

The key measurements from the picture are the center to center distance of 3-3/4 inches where the clamp fits around the basket bars, and the 5/8 inch diameter hole for the bars. Compare that to what your MegaWarrior requires. Though these items have not been tested together if the measurements match up you can use them together. Based on the measurements we have on the discontinued MegaWarrior replacement mounting bracket it looks like it will match up just fine.
