I would be happy to help you. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System item # TTORSEQ1 is a confirmed fit for your 2008 Toyota Sequoia. I spoke to my rep at Timbren and they told me the answer to your question depends on how you use them but they will not dry out, harden, or crack. They have had customers need to replace them within a year but those have been on heavy duty service vehicles that get a lot of wear and tear. They typically will last past 10 years. I pulled some information about Timbren's lifetime warranty from their website and included it below.
Timbren SES (Suspension Enhancement System) Kits and Active Off-Road Bumpstops Warranty: Warranted against defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service for the life of the vehicle on which the kit was originally installed.
