Question:
HI, Im installing an AC on my Jayco 5th wheel trailer and the roof is 71/4 thick. The standard 8 mounting screws are too short. Do you have longer screws or another solution to propose? Thanks a lot for your feedback

Expert Reply:
If the 8, #8 x 3/4" screws in the Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW are too short, you can use the RV Kappet Screws with Covers # 37220415 instead.
These screws are #8 x 1" and include white screw head caps if you choose to use them. You don't want the screws to be too long, you'll want the screw to be long enough to reach into the structural material under the trailer roof.
