Parts Needed To Install The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty And A 2022 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

Please advise what else is required to properly install the subject brake controller in the subject tow vehicle? Required wire harnesses, circuit breaker, diode, mounting brackets, schematic, etc? I dont want the brake controller to damage adaptive cruise control or collision avoidance systems which I understand may be an issue.

If you have the factory tow package on your 2022 Honda Ridgeline, then you will just need the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED59FR for the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR.

In order to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller, on your 2022 Honda Ridgeline, you will just need to plug one end into the main unit, and one end goes into the under-dash junction box. Then you will need to pick out a location where you want to mount the control knob. This control knob can be mounted in any orientation, virtually anywhere, as long as the cable can reach.

If you want a more clean, tidy appearance, you can use the Universal Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob # 331-TPSI-001 as a mounting bezel.

If you do not have the factory towing package, instead of the adapter, you'll need to add a 4-pole # 118778, and a 7-way # ETBC7, and then proceed to hardwire the universal harness # RED69FR.
