Will the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Fit Under a Tonneau Cover

Question:

I have a 2016 gmc 3500 drw. I have a bed cover with rails that are above bed. Where should my fifth wheel height be from top of rails?

If you're referring to the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3200, the distance from the top of the rails to the top of the skid plate can be anywhere from 16" - 19" depending on the position of the pivot arms. You'd then need to add another 1" or so for the height of the base rail. This can then be used to determine if the fifth wheel hitch will fit under the tonneau but there aren't really many times it won't.

I checked the online dimensions for a 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 and the box depth is 21.2" so you should not have any issues.
