Question:
Hello, Im looking to buy a replacement Axle for my boat. I believe the axle to be around a 2000lb rated axle. Its an add size though. It measures 44in spring to spring and 60in full length. The leaf spring sits on top of the axle currently. I dont see any that quite work. Do you have any recommendations?

In order to see if we have a compatible axle for you, it is important to measure the correct dimensions from hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows you how to conduct these measurements with an example measurement. If you discover that your axle has different dimensions than the ones you listed, feel free to respond to this answer with the corrected measurements.
With that being said, if the measurements are indeed 60 inches from hub face to hub face and 44 inches from spring center to spring center, we do not carry exact replacements for those measurements. However, by using an axle like the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with Standard Spindles - 60" Long - 2,000 lbs # T20BTR-6048 or the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 60" Long - 2,000 lbs # e82GR, you technically still receive the same 2k weight capacity. The great thing about these axles is that you will be able to adjust the spring seats to the Dexter-recommended 15-1/4" measurement for maximum functionality and balance. The spring center to spring center measurements of both of these axles is 48 inches long.
