How To Release The Brake On An Electric Slide-Out Motor
Updated 05/22/2025 | Published 02/28/2022 >
Question:
This is as close as we can tell to your motors. RV had motor replaced in Oct 2018. RV was in storage for 1 year and used twice 2020 and twice in 2021. Went out again this month and the slider is stuck out. Went under motor to try to reverse brake, it wont budge. Can you give instructions to release brake so we can store RV again? Not allowed in storage with slider out. Please help. First appointment for service is in June. Law in our area limits street parking to 48 hrs. Thank you for your help. The Todds

The Replacement Gear Motor Assembly for Lippert Electric Slide-Out # LC386322 has a black arm/lever that has to be turned to the right to release the brake. This can be quite difficult since it sounds like your motor might be seized up.
