Is the Firestone F5722 Sensor Relocation Bracket Still Required for 2012 F-250 Diesel Short Bed
Updated 03/04/2022 | Published 02/27/2022 >
Question:
Good morning, getting ready to purchase the Firestone ride rite system for my 2012 F250 4x4 diesel short bed. I see there is a recommended relocation bracket but can’t find the part on your website. Is the f5722 bracket still recommended or have there been changes to the system that make this requirement obsolete? Any help is appreciated.

Expert Reply:
When installing the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2597 on your 2012 F-250 diesel short bed the F5722 sensor relocation bracket may still be required. According to Firestone, the location of the sensor varies even among the diesel short bed so there is no way to know if it is needed until you attempt to install the air bags.
You could also look through the instructions and attempt to see if it would be required. Since this bracket is no longer around, you will have to reach out to Firestone for the replacement bracket should you require it.
I have attached an installation video along with the written instructions for your reference.
