Question:
Hi I’ve got a Kaufman car trailer that has 7k lb Lippert axles. I’ve put about 30k miles on it this year and I need to service the axles but I’m not sure what exactly I need so I was hoping I could send you the serial numbers off the axle and y’all could tell me what I need. That serial number would be S003313768

Helpful Expert Reply:
Your Kaufman Trailer with the 7,000lb Lippert axles will use a Bearing Kit # BK3-200 to rebuild the axles. This will be all you need if the brakes and hubs are still in good condition.
If the brakes are worn you can replace them with the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-180-181 or upgrade them to the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-464-465 so that you will no longer need to adjust the trailer brakes manually.
The Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-865-7-2-EZ-K will replace your worn or damaged hub. These will come with new bearings, races, lug nuts, grease seal and a grease cap.
