Question:
Hello, this is kind of a technical question about towing and weight distribution. I have a travel trailer rated at GVWR 4450 with 450 TW, A 2002 Trailblazer, using Door Sticker Data, Vehicle GCWR 10,500 lbs., Vehicle GVWR 5750, Leaving Max. Trailer weight for the Vehicle at 4,750 lbs. Vehicle hitch sticker says Max tow weight is 4,000 lb. and 400 TW. Distribution Hitch 7600 lb. 912 TW. Question: After reading information on your website, my understanding is, with the 5-6000 lb. round bar distribution hitch I will be using on my trailer Curt 17050, it will place my vehicle hitch capacity to 7600 lbs. and 912 TW. as the sticker states. Would that be correct understanding of this. Thanks for your help.

Yes, if you were to use a weight distribution system like the part # C17050 you'd get the higher tongue weight capacity you mentioned of 912 lbs instead of 400 lbs like you mentioned.
