Question:
Hello I own a Valley Industries fifth Wheel Hitch. Model # 70530. It is going in my 2007 Ford F250 SuperDuty 1. How do I figure out my bed to know if 6 1/2feet or 8 fee? 2. I want to purchase the base rail Mounts. I want the ones made for this truck and I do not want to drill extra holes. What is the complete kit that I will need to order?

To measure the length of your truck bed, measure from the front of the bed rearward to the rear edge of the bed (not the end of the tailgate). If you have the 6-1/2 foot bed, you will need to use a sliding fifth wheel hitch to provide additional clearance between the front of the trailer and the rear of the cab during low speed maneuvering. Failure to use a sliding hitch on a short bed truck could cause the front of the trailer to strike the rear of the truck cab during turns.
The fifth wheel install bracket kit that I recommend for your 2007 F250 Super Duty would be part # RP56005-53. The rails included with the install kit are compatible with all fifth wheel hitches that use industry standard above bed mounting rails, like those from Reese, Draw-Tite, Curt, Husky or Valley. The kit includes the outboard frame brackets, the bed base rails and all necessary installation hardware. If you do not already have a trailer connector installed in the truck bed, I would recommend part # C56000. Unfortunately, Valley is no longer in business and we cannot obtain the install kit.
The frame brackets will match up with existing holes in the truck frame, the only holes that will need to be drilled are the holes through the bed to attach the bed rails to the frame mount brackets.
I have linked you to the installation instructions for the kit, as well as some install videos you might find helpful.
