Question:

What is the height from the top of the cross bar to the top of the Yakima CBX 16 at its highest point?

The Yakima CBX Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 Cubic Ft # Y66FR is going to add about 14-1/2" of height to your crossbars. There is a little indention where the clamps are for the box but when I reached out to my contact at Yakima he said it looks deceiving and it might reduce the height by maybe 1/8" but nothing significant.

If you need something lower than that I recommend checking out the Yakima GrandTour Lo Rooftop Cargo Box # Y46FR which has 15 Cubit Ft of storage, so about the same as the CBX, but this only sits 10" tall.
