Magnetek 6300 Q Series RV Converter Replacement

Question:

I need to replace a Magnetek 6300 Q series RV converter. I also need the front cover, AC breakers and DC fuse connections. What do you recommend for a replacement? Thank you.

The Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 35 Amp item # PD4135K is the replacement for the Magnetek 6300 Q series RV converter. It comes with the front cover. The AC breakers and DC fuse connections are sold separately and we do not carry them.

Hello, I also need to replace a Magnetek 6300 Q series RV converter but do not see the PD 4135K converter you recommend to the other person. Is this available still or is there another model I can use? Thank you

@Shannon It's out of stock but that was the entire panel along with a converter. To replace just the converter in your Magnetek Converter Series 6300 you'll want the Replacement Section for AC/DC Power Distribution Panel - 35 Amp item # PD4635V. Please note that if you are looking to charge lithium batteries you'll need to pull the little black jumper off of the LA and center posts and switch it over to the LI and center posts. This will alter the charging profile to properly charge your lithium batteries. Are you looking for new batteries too? I have a magneTek 6300 q series in my trailer. My idiot brother in law connected it to 220 from his dryer. I replaced the plug that he cut off and when I connected the wires it made pretty sparks. It smells like the whole unit is fried and now the 12v lights don't work. Do I just need the converter or will I need anything else. Also What am I looking at for a cost? Thank you

@David You can replace the converter with the Replacement Section for AC/DC Power Distribution Panel item # PD4635V and see if that fixes the problem. However, I recommend taking it to a RVI certified professional and having someone with electrical training diagnose the damage.

Do you offer just the replacement fuse panel? Previous owner had the battery cables reversed and I only have power to the first 3 fuses from the right side. My guess is part of the panel got fried?

@Jason No, I am sorry we do not have just a replacement fuse panel. My only solution would be to replace the entire control center with the Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series Mini RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel item # PD4045KA.
