Question:
I have a 2016 F350 SRW, diesel 11,500 gvw package. I tow a fifth wheel trailer that weighs 13k lbs, and about 2,400 lbs pin weight. CCC of the truck is 3,478 lbs. I am looking at timbren helpers as I want to reduce the loaded suspension flex, and not have too much affect on ride height as my trailer’s goose box is almost about as high as it can go. The bed of the truck sits so high, which is why I’m not a fan of airbags. A small correction to ride height is ok, generally speaking the truck is not sagging much maybe 3-4” total. The truck is stock height/suspension and OEM style tires.

If you are not wanting to go with an air bag kit, you will have two options available. The first, and the most heavy duty, is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR350SDF. This will not affect the ride height and will definitely shore up the suspension when under load. However, as these are rated up to 8,600 pounds of capacity, they are going to be pretty stiff and will affect your ride quality fairly severely when not under load. These do a great job when they are under load though.
The other option is the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SS96MR. These have more give to them than the Timbren springs do, but it is also rated lower at 5,000 pounds, so they are not as heavy duty. Due to this, they will not affect your ride as severely when not towing. They are also a bit more complicated of an install, but I figured I would throw them out there. If you want the capacity, go for the Timbren set up. If you aren't as worried about the capacity, I do prefer the SumoSprings.
