Are V-Bar Links Safe to Use with My Tires?
Updated 01/11/2022 | Published 01/10/2022 >
Question:
Is there a higher risk of tire damage with a v-bar tire chain? If you put the chains on and they loosen a bit after driving is there a risk of the v-bar twisting and poking into the tire causing tire damage?

When considering the V-bar links that come on the Titan Chains Snow Tire Chains # TC2841CAM, while technically it is possible that the chains can twist around, it is highly unlikely. This is because the cam-tighteners in the chains provide superior tightening so that the chains cannot turn over. Also, with this particular design, the V-bar designs do not have sharp ends; they are blunted with straight angles. With all this being said, as long as you have the proper clearance and have the correct fitment on your tires, you can safely transport your vehicle without puncturing your tires with the V-bar links.
I went ahead and linked a video of the chains to provide you with more perspective. If you need for me to help you with choosing the correct chain size, feel free to respond to this answer with your tire size and year/make/model of vehicle.
