Will BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover Restrict Trunk Access on 2022 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

Looking at BAKMX4 for my brand 2022 Honda Ridgeline. 1 Can you tell me if I would need to drill a hole for the drainage tube for the MX4? 2 With the mounted side rails of the MX4, can you tell me approx. how far I will be able to open the in-bed storage hatch approx. clearance for getting items in and out of the in-bed storage compartment? The BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK48602 is a great option for your 2022 Honda Ridgeline, and I especially like the matte black finish. I will number my answers to match your questions:

1. The drain tubes will fit in the same plugs that are already existing on your truck. You can either remove the plugs or you can drill a 7/8" hole through the plastic plug if you'd rather go that route (see attached photo from instructions).

2. You will be able to still open up the trunk in the bed of your Ridgeline but you will be restricted to opening it about 75%-80% of the way instead of all of the way - but this would be the same with pretty much any tonneau cover.
